How St. Louis Epoxy Flooring Pros Works
St. Louis Epoxy Flooring Pros puts resin coatings on concrete. That means garage floors, basements, workshops, warehouse and commercial floors, and the occasional finished room with a decorative metallic floor. We work across St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, and the systems we put down are metallic, flake broadcast, polyaspartic and straight epoxy.
The system comes last. First we look at the slab. A city garage that is close to a hundred years old, a 1960s ranch basement in the county and a new three-car garage in Wentzville are three different floors. They differ in how much moisture moves through the concrete, how much road salt rides in on the tires each winter, and what earlier owners painted or sealed. We pick the coating after we have measured, tested and seen the floor up close.
What a job looks like
- We visit, measure each area and test the slab for moisture before we write anything down.
- We note paint, sealers, oil, salt staining, cracks, spalled patches, low spots and signs of past water.
- Your quote spells out the system, how we prep, every coat and the final price. No line on it reads "to be determined."
- The concrete is diamond ground so the first coat bonds to clean, open concrete instead of an old surface.
- Cracks, pits and broken joint edges are filled before coating starts.
- We read air temperature, humidity, dew point and slab temperature before each coat. If the readings are wrong, we move the day.
- You get times for walking on the floor, moving storage or furniture back in, and parking, set by the product and the conditions that day.
- If something changes once work starts, such as a hidden crack under a cabinet, we put the change in writing and hold off until you approve it.
What we will tell you up front
Concrete is the only surface we work on; wood, tile and vinyl are outside what we do. A coating cannot cure a basement that takes on water each spring, a crack that keeps moving or a heaving slab, and you will hear that from us before you pay for one. In those cases the water or structure problem comes first.
We also explain the tradeoffs between systems in plain terms: how fast each one cures, how it handles sunlight through an open door, how it handles salt and how it looks. Then you choose.
